Seabase Shapers Layout Square

The amazingly accurate Seabase Layout Square. Check it against your old one. A clear Polycarbonate ‘transparent’ sheet which sits flat on surfboard blanks, giving accurate centre-finding measurements from stringer to rail. Also used for tail measurements and fin settings. An essential tool for all shapers. See also the Layout Ruler.

There is a special scale on the upper 1″ increment side of the ruler where the scale is 1″ = 0.5″.  This provides:

• symmetry of the board by ensuring the left and right measurement where the rail intersects on the ruler can be checked; if it’s symmetrical then it will have the same measurement on either side
• easy measurement of the width of the board by looking at either rail measurement
