Seabase – Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy

From the beginning, Seabase has only ever wanted 100% satisfied customers. The soul of surfing has been challenged but we’ve stayed loyal to good brands and new product lines with a quality service that has served us well for over 40 years. With our fresh, vital approach, attention to detail, and our 100% quality promise, we guarantee you won’t get better products or service anywhere.

Many companies publish a mission statement. Most of those are just a bunch of politically correct verbiage – many are totally hypocritical.  Our founder’s mission is to simply reflect our strong Christian beliefs. We are far from perfect, but do try harder. We believe in the very fundamental freedoms of life, speech and choice. We condemn no one for their choice of lifestyle, as long as they are aware of the consequences of their actions. We hold strongly that every man can say whatever he wishes as long as he or she believes it.

We believe in the right of every man and woman to express an opinion, to hold a particular belief, and to have the freedom to express that belief without sanction or legal suppression. It is a free world not owned by society, government or man.

We are a Christ-centred company. Our ethics, values and morals are biblically based. We do not subscribe to the liberal values of the world – and we encourage all our employees to reflect that. We do not challenge their righs however, or their opinions. However, we are not perfect – yet – and will fail often. Forgive us if we do. It does not mean we do not enjoy life, to live a life of freedom, love and joy. It just means we have a line beyond which we will not go.

Below is the most important stuff in our philosophy. Check the link below to one of the most powerful surfer’s testimony I’ve ever heard. All surfers should hear it. I first heard it driving to France and had to pull over – too much water in the way!
