Seabase is pleased to offer the latest in surfboard shaping technology to all its customers. Using a highly modified and refined DSD shaping machine (historically the machine of choice to Rusty Preisendorfer, Eric Arakawa, Pat Rawson etc.) we are able to cut files made on AkuShaper, Shape3d, and SurfCad.

Phil Hodge, respected International shaper, known for his impeccable eye for accuracy, rates it as the best machine available in the Europe, "I haven't seen anything better. Our machine cutting prices are very competitive, starting from £15. We can offer a file creation service, copying your favourite board for £50 if you bring it to our factory, or if we have a file on our system that we don't mind you using then its just £10 for the file. Prices are plus VAT.

If you are technically minded you can always try your hand at making your own file. There are several several types of software to produce a file that we can use on this machine but we suggest you either use AkuShaper (http://www.akushaper.com/) or Shape3d (http://www.shape3d.com/), or BoardCAD (http://www.boardcad.org). They are free downloads.

What do you get with a pre-cut blank from Seabase? Highly trained machine operators cut your blank with accuracy of up to 1/100 mm. Your pre-cut blank, with the rails fully cut according to your file, needs only 20-40 minutes of 'fluffing' to finish it off.
