Care of Surfboards:

 • Wash off salt water and keep your surfboard clean and dry when not in use.

 • Remove the wax frequently to check for damage and replace with fresh wax.

 • Repair cracks or dings immediately (see below). Fibreglass absorbs moisture if it is not sealed.

 • Use a quality board bag, such as Creatures of Leisure, whenever possible.

 • Do not leave you wet surfboard in a board bag in the sun, in or on top of a car, as the heat produced can expand the foam and de-laminate the surfboard.
 • The plastic in poor quality board bags can migrate to the surface of the board, leaving white blotches that cannot be easily removed. Buy a quality boardbag. This is not a surfboard defect! Our warranty does not cover this problem. See an example here.

  • Some sun screens may affect surfboard coatings and wax, leaving hand stains. Wash hands before surfing.

  • Surfboards break, often in small waves. Do not ride the board into the sand or in heavy shore-breaks.

  • Always use a good quality surf leash to lessen loose boards causing damage to your board and other surfers and boards. Insure yoursdelf against litigation from damage caused by loose surfboards. It happens.

  • Although surfboards float, they should not be considered a life-saving device.

* Note: The universal F3 fin system, if fitted to surfboards, is designed to take FCS®, Futures and F3 adjustable fins. Since these fins are made in many factories around the world, and are supplied by various distributors, some minor adjustments may have to be made to fins to ensure a tight fit. If this is needed carefully sand the fin base only, trying for fit as you go. This will not prevent your fins fitting in any other OEM system. Be sure to keep your F3 inserts with you at all times.

We recommend Sticky Bumps® wax and Creatures of Leisure Leashes, Boardbags and Grips for your surfboard.
