Seconds & Rejects Policy:
From time to time we have goods for sale marked as Second Quality, or seconds. This means, in all cases, that while the product might well be generally sound, fit for purpose, and useable, it might also contain structural or cosmetic variations that would prevent us from honestly selling the goods as First Quality. The goods are therefore sold as damaged goods, and are sold on a Buyer Beware or Caveat Emptor basis. You should be aware these goods may be defective, or unsuitable for purpose, and are sold as such. They are always available for inspection before purchase. We will always endeavour to make sure the product is useable. If it is in less than a reasonably useable condition, it will be marked and sold as a Reject Quality, or reject and priced accordingly.
Below we explain what catagories of goods might contain seconds, and what problems you may expect.
"Goods sold by Seabase as Second Quality or Reject Quality are sold subject to the understanding that no guarantees or warranties as to the suitability of the product for any particular purpose is offered or implied. The buyer must satisfy himself, on inspection, that the product suits his or her purpose, and accepts the goods on that basis. No returns or claims will be considered after sale"
