SEABASE ISO10 NP (Beta)

 A totally new approach to surfboard resin design for PU surfboards, SUP's and wavecraft, Seabase ISO 10NP is a high performance, fast curing surfboard resin designed for fast turnaround in production and with very high strength, weather resistant and presentation factors.

·         Strong:   In tests stronger than any other production polyester surf resins.

·         Fast:       In tests quicker to gel and cure than all other surf industry resins.

·         White:     Brighter, clearer and whiter than any other production surf resin.

·         Stable:   A high degree of UV stability for cleaner, clearer surfboards.

·         Tough:    Hugely resistant to chalking, wrinkling, crazing and cracking.

ISO 10 NP is a pure Isophthalic Resin - the only fully Isophthalic surfboard resin on the market- a successor to the popular and tough ISO 7X - with faster reaction and gel times, and super quick cure times. Boards can be turned in as little as 40 minutes, and fully cured and ready to surf in 24 hours with post-curing. Formulated to have faster gel & cure times than comparative industry standard resins.

Note:  This resin is now in pre-production phase. Samples of the new ISO 10 NP have been thoroughly tested using US Blanks PU surfboard blanks with no known adverse effects. However, as in all new products, not all reactions in a manufacturing process are known. We offer this resin on the understanding that it meets our current standards but is without guarantees, and should be used for testing and evaluation purposes only.

Note:  This resin is highly reactive, and should be used with standard catalysts while assessing gel times at various temperatures. A 2% addition of MEKP gives a Gel time of 7-8 minutes at 21° C. The gel characteristics are formulated to allow for a very pronounced gel point.  In testing, a 1% addition of catalyst should be trialled before production use.

Note: A complex blend of chemicals means ISO10 NP might appear yellow under certain types of fluorescent tubing in production and display. This effect is reversed under normal light and in sunlight. In conditions without artificial light, or in natural fluroescent lighting,  ISO10 NP is white and bright – and this effect is long lasting.
